How to Get to Moi International Sports Centre by Bus

Moi International Sports Centre (Kasarani Stadium) is located next to Thika road, opposite Safari Park Hotel.

From Town (BS)

If you are in town, you can go to Ronald Ngala St. and board Githurai 45 buses available along the street. Common buses include Nicco Movers, Virginia Coach, ZamZam, and others. Tell the conductor to drop you at Safari Park hotel. Tell him in advance to ensure they branch to the service lane. Once dropped at Safari Park, the stadium is on the opposite side: cross the road using the footbridge and start walking toward the stadium’s main gate.

Alternative: From town (CBD, commercial)

If you are inside CBD, you can board Githurai 45, Githurai 44, or Kahawa West buses in Tom Mboya St. The recommended matatus include Zuri, Marimba Investment, or Unified Poa. Tell the conductor to drop you at Safari Park hotel. Tell him in advance to ensure they branch to the service lane. Once dropped at Safari Park, the stadium is on the opposite side; cross the road using the footbridge and start walking toward the stadium’s main gate.

Safari Park Footbridge

Unexpected

Sometimes the bus may not stop at Safari Park, and they will drop you at Roysambu. In that case, cross the road through the roundabout and start walking like you are heading back to town. Four or five minutes later, you should see a gate leading to the stadium (not the main entrance). The gate is precisely on the opposite side of Thika Road Mall. (TRM).

From Kiambu

When coming from Kiambu, alight at Muthaiga and go to Thika Road stage, just in front of Muthaiga police station. You will find multiple fourteen-seaters and buses heading to Githurai 45, Githurai 44, Kasarani, and Kahawa West. Board any of these vehicles and tell the conductor to drop you at Safari Park. Tell him in advance to ensure they branch to the service lane. Once dropped at Safari Park, the stadium is on the opposite side; cross the road using the footbridge and start walking toward the stadium’s main gate.

From Ruiru, Thika, and Mt Kenya

To individuals coming from these sides, board any vehicle heading to town (Nairobi) and tell the driver or conductor to drop you at Safari Park hotel or Kasarani stadium. You will find the road leading to the stadium’s main gate.

They might drop you at Roysambu. However, do not worry. Just walk like you are heading to Nairobi. Several minutes later, you should see a gate on your left (not the main entrance). The gate is precisely on the opposite side of Thika Road Mall. (TRM).

Swimming/Aquatic Stadium

If you are going swimming or interested in the Aquatic Stadium, the best idea is to alight at Roysambu. Once in Roysambu, cross the road through the roundabout and start walking like you are heading to Nairobi. Four or five minutes later, you should see a gate to the stadium (not the main entrance). The gate is precisely on the opposite side of Thika Road Mall. (TRM).
